Oscar the Grouch..

They are staring...calling...beckoning me. Those stupid trash cans sitting on the curb in the snow...It is so frigid cold out. Bitter cold. Dead of winter in Nebraska cold (Yeah, you know what Im talking about). So cold you inhale and the moisture in your lungs frost over a little bit. Yeah.. THAT cold.

Seeing all the snow and the neighbor kids out makes me wish I was a kid again and could go and roll in the snow. Go sledding, drink hot cocoa that is so awful there are chunks of the powder floating at the top, but it doesn't even matter because it is hot. Man, being a kid was awesome. When did we all become adults? And how do we make it stoppppp?!

Jodie is sick this week so I've got the girls to myself all day. It really is refreshing to have them in the morning and mid-day. They are #1 more fun and a LOT happier. #2 I get to do more with them because we aren't on as strict a schedule as we are in the evening. Guinevere and I made fruit smoothies earlier and it was kind of awesome. She is kind of hilarious at times. As much as her vocabulary of a 6 year old drives me crazy, she comes up with some of the craziest stories. Exibit A. The other day she started to tell me that the Duke of York(yes..the Duke of York) had come to visit her. He had come out of her Animal Science book that Annabelle(her doll) had given to her. Annabelle had got it from Babies R' Us. But not her(Guinevere's) Babies R' Us, but Annabelle's. Then when I said "Really? The Duke of York?" She goes, "Yep!" and runs away. Haha. Love it.

Ok... Here it goes. Off to get Oscar the Grouch from the frigid cold!!!!! Ugh...
