ONE DAY WITHOUT SHOES

Today, I am going without shoes so kids don't have to. 

Today, April 10th, 2012 is One Day Without Shoes. Its put on by a company called One for One. You have probably heard of their shoes, TOMS. For every pair of shoes purchased, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. 

TOMS is definitely my favorite of any other merchandising company. The company was started by a guy named, Blake Mycoskie. Check out the full story on www.toms.com/ourmovement/

I came upon this company sometime in the early fall of 2010. Their passion for giving and pure motives for change inspired me to even take a few college classes in an attempt for a public relations degree. My schooling has been put on the backburner due to my current situation, but my passion for the movement has not changed. 

I was blessed to become involved last spring with another giving organization called

Both of these organizations light a passion inside me that makes me want to believe. Believe in a hope of more.  Believe that I can actually do more. If it gives me, someone who has never been in want for anything, the power to believe in more, imagine what these movements can do for those who have no hope. 

There is more to this life and my dream is be a part of it.
